5. UTTARAKHAND ADOPTS UNIFORM CIVIL CODE LAUNCHES PORTAL

- Implementation: Uttarakhand is the first Indian state post-Independence to adopt UCC (exempting Scheduled Tribes and migrated natives).
- Provisions: Bans practices like halala,iddat, and talaq(linked to Muslim Personal Law).
