5. INDIA IMPOSES ANTI DUMPING DUTY ON CHINESE GOODS FOR UP TO 5 YEARS

SUBJECT: BILATERAL

  • Anti-dumping duties on five Chinese products(Soft Ferrite Cores, aluminum foil, Trichloro Isocyanuric Acid, vacuum flasks, Poly Vinyl Chloride Paste Resin). 
  • Duties range from$276/tonne to $986/tonne, valid for up to 5 years.
  • Imposed to protect domestic industries from cheap imports at below normal prices.
  • Based on recommendations from Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR).
  • Coverage & Global Impact Duties apply on imports fromChina, Japan, Korea RP, Malaysia, Taiwan, Norway, Thailand.
  • Measures include CIF-based pricing, ensure level playing field for Indian industries.
