EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent quali cation recognized as such by the Central Government.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:
It is important for candidates to have the working knowledge of computer systems to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
It is important for candidates to be proficient in the official language of the State/UT is desirable

Stage–1 : IBPS PO Preliminary Examination :
IBPS PO Preliminary examination is objective type & the medium of paper is generally English. The medium for Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning Ability is both Hindi & English.

STAGE 2: IBPS PO MAINS EXAMINATION :
IBPS PO Main Exam is both objective & descriptive in nature and is based on online mode. The objective test is 3 hours consist of 200 marks whereas the descriptive test is of 30 minutes of 25 marks.

The descriptive test is a test of English which contains Letter Writing and Essay with 25 marks and 30 minutes duration.
Note : For every wrong answer in both preliminary and mains examination, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks assigned to the particular question.
STAGE 3: IBPS PO IBPS PO INTERVIEW :
The total marks assigned to the interview stage is 100. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC. The ratio of mains exam and interview for nal merit list will be 80:20. Note : Only the marks of mains and interview is calculated for the overall merit list. Prelims marks are just qualifying in nature.

In case of dual specialisations, one of the elds of specialisation should be in the eld prescribed. In case of major / minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed. Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA) / PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply.
NOTE : For posts other than IT Of cer Scale I: Candidates should have Certi cate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations / Language / should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School / College / Institute.
AGE CRITERIA :
Age of a candidate will be calculated as per the month of November 2019. The maximum and minimum age is given below.

IBPS SO 2021 PRELIMINARY EXAM :
The preliminary exam of IBPS SO is of 125 marks in 120 minutes time duration. IBPS SO prelims exam is not common for all the post but the timings and maximum is the same. Also, there is a sectional cut-off in IBPS SO Exam. Here is the post-wise prelims pattern of IBPS SO.

There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in both preliminary as well as mains exam. However, there is no penalty for unattempted questions.
