Legendary archaeologist and inscription scholar Ramachandran Nagasami passed away at the age of 91 in Chennai.
He was a director of the Archaeological Survey of Tamil Nadu.
He is famous for his inscription research on the sculptures at Mahabalipuram.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on January 30, 2022, the 74th anniversary of his death.
This day is also celebrated as Martyrs’ Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, to commemorate the day of remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi.
It was on January 30, 1948 that Mahatma Gandhi, also known as Babu, was assassinated by Nathuram Godse at the Birla Palace.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed some restrictions on the Indian Mercantile Cooperative Bank Limited in Lucknow.
These restrictions have been in effect since the end of business hours on January 28, 2022. The restrictions will be in effect for six months.

The government has extended the tenure of MR Kumar, chairman of the IPO-division Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), until March 2023.
