Tamil Nadu:

Legendary archaeologist and inscription scholar Ramachandran Nagasami passed away at the age of 91 in Chennai.

He was a director of the Archaeological Survey of Tamil Nadu.

He is famous for his inscription research on the sculptures at Mahabalipuram.

India:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on January 30, 2022, the 74th anniversary of his death.

This day is also celebrated as Martyrs’ Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, to commemorate the day of remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi.
